Note: You must install the RPG Maker VX RTP to play. You also need WinRAR to extract the file (I couldn’t use a .zip, they don’t like Japanese filenames).
Re:Kinder is a horror game made in RPG Maker VX by Parun. It’s a remake of the RPG Maker 2003 game Kinder, but I’m not sure if the original is even available anymore.
“Shunsuke is just a regular third-grader who…”
No, wait, that doesn’t seem right at all. Let me try that again.
“After a trip to his grandparents’, Shunsuke finds…”
No, that’s not right either.
“Shunsuke, if anything should happen to me, just wrap me up in a mat and send me down a river. Yeah. You know. A big one.”
Okay, getting warmer.
Re:Kinder is a weird game. Like, really weird. I don’t want to spoil anything, but it’s pretty demented, in ways you don’t typically see in these kinds of games. Or most games, really.
Partially because of this, I’m not sure where I’d put it as far as being a “horror” game; it breaks all the rules, after all. It is very gory and full of possibly-triggering content, however, so be warned.
Animate has posted screenshots for tomorrow’s episode, A bientôt! Until We Meet Again!, from Volume 4. Many of these screenshots are higher-quality shots of the same ones previously seen on Tumblr these past few weeks and in the June edition of Comic Birz.
Next week’s episode will be What Italy Forgot from Volume 4. In addition to that comic, the episode will also adapt Before Mont Saint-Michel was Built and Top Secret from Volume 4, and The Creation of Dambolis from the original webcomic. The episode will focus on Germany learning about Italy during World War I, Seychelles learning exciting information from England, Saint Aubert’s encounters with the Archangel Michael, and Sweden’s… interesting parenting skills.
